Filming for the wraparound began on November 16, 2023 in North Cape May, NJ for the scenes at Doctor Ross's home. It continued on the 17th. The gym scenes  were shot on March 9, 2024 in Queens, NY. The scenes at Doctor Ross's office were shot on June 15, 2024 in Asbury Park, NJ.

The wraparound segment is entitled: Silent Bliss.

Features the short films: Keep It in the Dark, Play Date, You're It, Detoxification, and The Noose.

The film saw Melissa Malone (Ashley - Keep It in the Dark), Brett Eidman (Stu - Detoxification), Bettina Skye (Katherine - Play Date), and Abriella Grace Ruby (Addie - You're It) reprise their roles.

There were just over 9 years between the filming of the first short (Keep It in the Dark) and the completion of Death Rattles: The Mourning Sessions.

​

Features a brand new cut of Keep It in the Dark and slightly altered versions of Play Date, You're It, and Detoxification.
