Director's Statement (The Cremer Brothers)
How does one make amends to the dead? That is the question we chose to explore with Last Shot at Redemption.
Charles initially enjoys his newfound freedom until a mysterious figure, Demon, begins to haunt him. Demon represents the past mistakes that he is unable to forget and unable to atone for. Her unwelcome presence brings Charles an overwhelming amount of guilt and desperation. Feelings he will have no choice, but to carry with him to the grave.
Bargaining is a major theme in Last Shot at Redemption. Asking the “what ifs?” Once Charles is offered a potential, and likely ineffective solution to his problem, he takes it, not thinking about the cost or the result, only the “what if.” What if this works? All he can do is try.
